Museums Hub Funds Banner Campaign

The London Museums Hub has funded a marketing campaign for the Old Operating Theatre Museum.

The grant of £2,500 plus free advice from the Geffrye Museum's PR officer, has been used to put up banners around Borough Market. and to print a leaflet. The aim is to encourage more visitors to the Museum from the Market. The Market was targetted as it was felt that the Herb Garret displays at the Museum would be of great interest to those visiting the renowned food market.

The marketing campaign has been timed to help boast Museum numbers in these difficult times. However, in 2008 the Museum reach 25,000 visitors for only the third time despite long periods of closure due to restoration work.

To go with the campaign the Museum is putting on a series of events at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday. See the events page for further details:
